On the live U.S. pricing page, monthly billing showed $10 for Pro and $30 for Premier. Annual billing displayed the equivalent of $8 and $24 per month, charged yearly, with taxes calculated at checkout. Free showed $0. Suno also permits additional download purchases, but the public pages reviewed for this article did not list a fixed add-on price. Check the amount offered in your account before choosing Premier only for its larger included allowance.

What you can create with each v6 plan

Free includes v6-mini. Pro and Premier add v6 and v6-wild. Suno describes v6-mini as the faster route for ideas and volume, v6 as its general flagship, and v6-wild as the less predictable option for experimentation. All three can generate up to eight minutes in one generation. That length limit does not mean every request will produce an eight-minute track.

A standard v6 generation produces two songs for 10 credits. That makes the Free plan's 50 daily credits enough for five standard generations, or ten song outputs, when no extra charge applies. The same arithmetic gives Pro a ceiling of 500 outputs and Premier a ceiling of 2,000 outputs from their monthly allotments. These are calculated ceilings, not observed production totals. Suno says multiple image or video inputs can raise the credit cost, and Max Mode also costs more.

The paid plans also change the production tools around the model. Their pricing cards include 30-minute audio uploads, custom models, advanced editing, voices, and a priority queue that can handle up to ten songs at once. Premier is the plan with Suno Studio, the ability to add vocals or instrumentals to an existing song, and Advanced Split. Free has an eight-minute upload limit and a shared queue of four concurrent generations.

Downloads are a separate bottleneck

Generation credits do not equal included exports. A Pro user can calculate as many as 500 standard monthly song outputs from 2,500 credits, while the subscription includes downloads for 20 different songs. Premier's calculated 2,000-output ceiling comes with 60 included downloads. Those are not hard ceilings because additional downloads can be purchased, and Suno Studio workflows are exempt. The included allowance still matters when you compare the base subscription prices or expect to archive many candidates outside Suno.

Suno counts one song as one download. Downloading the same song again or fetching it in another available format does not consume another download. Stems for that song are included in the same count, and a failed or interrupted download does not count. Pro and Premier allowances reset on the billing date and unused monthly downloads do not roll over. Free trial downloads are lifetime allowances rather than monthly refills. Users who reach a limit can purchase additional downloads.

Stem extraction has its own credit cost. Auto Split can produce up to 12 stems for 50 credits. Split from Mix costs 10 credits per selected stem and returns that part plus a complement track. Premier's Advanced Split offers a list of nearly 100 instruments at 10 credits per stem. A download allowance gets the files off the platform; it does not remove the extraction charge.

When you can reuse or monetize a song

The date and source of the song control the answer. Under Suno's Terms effective September 3, 2026, a Pro or Premier subscriber receives Suno's rights in eligible output generated from that user's submissions. Commercial exploitation is permitted only after the user obtains that output through a Suno-approved download channel. Recording the stream or ripping it is prohibited. The commercial right attached to a permitted download survives later cancellation, downgrade, or subscription expiry.

ScenarioCan you monetize it?Why
You make a song on Free and share its Suno linkNoFree output is limited to lawful personal, non-commercial use

Paid creation and a Suno-approved download are necessary, but they do not clear third-party inputs. If a free v6-mini generation produces the hook you want for a monetized channel, paying the next day does not convert that track into paid output. Suno says retroactive rights may be offered in specific cases but are not guaranteed. Extending the free track also keeps free-origin material in the chain. If you wrote the lyrics yourself, Suno says those lyrics remain yours on every plan. You can use them in a fresh paid-period generation without feeding the Free-origin recording back into the new song, then download the new output through Suno before commercial use.

Reuse Prompt requires a lyrics check and a rights check. Suno's instructions tell users to replace another creator's lyrics or obtain permission before publishing. The Remix FAQ classifies Reuse alongside Cover, Extend, and Speed, so the newer Terms create the same commercial-use conflict for these workflows. Replacing the lyrics solves the lyrics-permission issue; it does not resolve the current Remix restriction.

Suno can give a paid user contractual ownership and commercial-use rights without guaranteeing that copyright law protects the whole output. In the United States, the Copyright Office says prompts alone do not supply enough human control. Human-authored lyrics, creative selection or arrangement, and human modifications may qualify, while purely AI-generated material does not. Other countries apply their own rules.

You also need rights to every input. Suno's terms require permission for uploaded music, sound, lyrics, and voice material. A paid plan cannot clear someone else's lyrics, recording, composition, performance, or voice. Distribution platforms can apply additional acceptance and disclosure rules even when Suno permits commercial use.

Checklist before a commercial release

  1. Decide whether the destination is commercial before generation. A monetized YouTube video, paid client deliverable, streaming release, game, film, or album sale belongs on Pro or Premier from the start.
  2. Use only material you can document. Keep your original lyrics, upload permissions, collaborator approvals, and voice consent with the project.
  3. Create while the paid subscription is active. Check the model label in the Create form. Free should show v6-mini; Pro and Premier can select v6 or v6-wild.
  4. Keep the commercial master outside disputed Remix workflows. Start from a fresh paid-period generation using material you control. Do not feed a Free-origin Suno recording or another creator's track into Remix, Cover, Extend, Reuse, or Speed while the Help Center and Terms conflict.
  5. Download the chosen song through Suno while subscribed. Use the Library or Workspace menu and select Download. Choose WAV on suno.com when the production workflow needs it. Do not use a screen recording or stream rip.
  6. Save a compact rights record. Retain the subscription invoice, song URL or ID, creation date, download date, exported file, input-rights records, and the terms version you relied on. This record does not create rights, but it preserves the facts needed for a distributor, client, or later audit.

Which plan should you choose?

Stay on Free when the output will remain a personal experiment, a private draft, or a non-monetized project shared by Suno link. It is also the quickest way to learn whether v6-mini understands your genre, structure, and lyric format. A trial MP3 does not change the non-commercial restriction.

Choose Pro for a commercial release workflow that needs v6 or v6-wild, WAV files, stems, or advanced editing. It includes 20 downloaded songs each month, and you can purchase more. The 2,500 generation credits leave room to compare many candidates, so shortlist before exporting and check the live add-on price if you regularly need more than 20.

Choose Premier when the job needs Suno Studio, Studio MIDI, Advanced Split, the ability to add vocals or instrumentals to an existing song, or a larger included allowance. If downloads are the only constraint, compare the live Premier price with Pro plus the number of add-on downloads you expect to buy. The public pages reviewed here do not publish that add-on price.

Before canceling, download every paid-origin master and format you expect to use, confirm that each file opens, and preserve its project record. Your current commercial rights remain, but future off-platform downloads fall back to the limits available on your new tier.
